Bridesmaid Makeup 🌸
It was such a joy to be a part of my friend's wedding 💖
Beautiful September day and I opted to do my own makeup versus using the makeup artist to save some money 💸
Well worth it since I really enjoy putting on makeup when I make the time for it😅
I wanted to match the other girls as closely as possible with a more dramatic natural look, adding fake lashes at the end. With my blue eyes, I focused on contouring my face and brown eyeshadow, and also a simple lip gloss. To be honest, most of the products I used are discontinued unfortunately, including the Flawless brand of bronzer and highlighter from Maurice's and the Skinn brown eye shadow pallette. But nonetheless, the look was achieved 😊

When preparing to do your own bridesmaid makeup, one of the most important things I learned is the value of practicing the look ahead of time. Since I chose to do my own makeup to save money, I made sure to allocate ample time a week before the wedding for trial runs. This helped me refine my contouring technique and perfect the brown eyeshadow shades that complemented my blue eyes. Although some of my favorite products were discontinued, I found that similar alternatives can be just as effective. For example, switching to a long-lasting bronzer with a natural finish and investing in high-quality false eyelashes can really elevate your overall makeup without breaking the bank. I highly recommend a simple, hydrating lip gloss to keep the lips looking fresh and natural throughout the event. Matching the bridal party's makeup is a beautiful way to maintain harmony in photos, but adding your personal touch can help you feel confident and comfortable. Focus on enhancing your unique features with subtle contouring and the right eyeshadow tones. Fake eyelashes can make a huge difference in intensifying your eyes, especially for wedding photography and videos. Finally, don't forget skincare leading up to the big day. Keeping your skin well-moisturized and prepped with a good primer can make your makeup application smoother and longer-lasting. Doing your own bridesmaid makeup can be incredibly rewarding and fun, adding an extra layer of personal involvement in the celebration!
