Started the day at Eternity Suspension Bridge — quick walk, quick snaps, big views 📸✨
Then headed to Fenqihu Old Street where we grabbed their famous bento boxes and ate them by the train tracks while waiting for the Alishan train 🚉🍱 (not something you get to do every day haha 🤩). Washed it down with fresh, natural Aiyu Jelly 🍋💛 so refreshing!
Highlight of the day: Alishan Forest Recreation Area 🌲❄️ A chilly but perfect weather for a short hike — stairs and all, it was a workout but so worth it! 💪
Wrapped up the night with free mochis, a cozy homestay at Sunsweet House with stunning mountain views 🏔️✨, and the warmest in-house hotpot dinner to end the day 🫕❤️

Try to grab one freshly packed near the train station for the most authentic experience. Eating it by the railway tracks, as I did, adds to the charm—watching trains pass while enjoying local flavors is truly special. Also, don’t miss the chance to walk across the Eternity Suspension Bridge. It offers panoramic views that are incredible for photography lovers and a calming start or end to any day in the area. For nature lovers, the Alishan Forest Recreation Area is a must-visit, especially if you enjoy hiking. The cool mountain air and quiet trails make the stairs and effort worthwhile. Bring good walking shoes and be ready for some light exercise. Lastly, local treats like Aiyu Jelly and freshly made mochis are refreshing and delicious snacks to enjoy during your explorations. They helped me recharge and kept the journey feeling fresh and fun throughout the day.
