Travelling the world through my taste buds 🌏 First Bites: Vietnamese food🇻🇳
📍 Finally tried this popular Vietnamese spot Co Chung Vietnamese Restaurant Plaza Singapura - Authentic Taste of Vietnam and I get why it’s always packed 👀
👉🏻 Ordered:
• BBQ platter
• Fresh spring rolls
• Dry vermicelli with grilled pork
• Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup)
💭 First impressions/Thoughts:
Generous portions, lots of protein + veggies, and sauces that really elevate everything!!
👍🏻 BBQ platter (STAR ⭐):
Super worth with generous portion for 2 pax!
Includes pork skewers, ribs, chicken, beef in betel leaves & nem nuong.
Everything was flavourful and nicely grilled
• Nem nuong (lemongrass pork) = super fragrant, our favourite 🤤
• Beef in betel leaves = unique, slightly herby (subjective but I liked it)
• Pork ribs = nicely charred, tender enough, very satisfying
Comes with fresh veg + multiple sauces that really elevate the flavours
Ratings: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
👍🏻 Fresh spring rolls:
Light, refreshing, simple but always hits the spot!
Nice balance to the heavier dishes.
Ratings: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.8/5
👍🏻 Dry vermicelli with grilled pork:
Very aesthetically pleasing 👀
Generous amount of lean pork that were well-marinated and tender!
Pairs well with vermicelli + chilli for extra kick😋
Only gripe was the fried shallots (which i personally don’t eat)
Ratings: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5
👍🏻 Bun Bo Hue:
Hearty and comforting~
Soup was fragrant, not overly salty/MSG-heavy
Comes with good amount of beef + pork!
Not very spicy, more mild than expected.
