Anime I have finished recently and my rating
These are my personal ratings from a scale of 1-10.
Should I do a more in depth review on any of these anime?
Hey everyone! Following up on my recent post where I shared quick ratings for the anime I've just finished, I wanted to dive a little deeper into why I gave them those scores. Finishing an anime series always leaves me with a mix of emotions, and I love reflecting on the journey each one took me on. Hopefully, this gives you a better idea of what to expect if you're thinking of adding any of these to your own watchlist! First up, Headhunted to Another World: Salaryman From Big Four! I gave this one a 6/10. Honestly, the premise sounded super fun – an office worker getting reincarnated. While it had its moments and some clever corporate humor, it didn't quite hit the high notes I was hoping for. It felt a bit rushed in places, and I wished they'd explored the "big four" elements more. It's a decent watch if you're looking for a lighthearted Isekai, but don't go in expecting anything groundbreaking. Next, LORD MARKSMAN AND Vanadis, also a 6/10. This one had a lot of potential with its fantasy setting and tactical battles, but for me, it just didn't fully realize it. The animation was pretty good during action sequences, and the character designs were interesting, but the pacing felt uneven. There were times I was really invested, and then other times I found my attention wandering. If you're a big fan of medieval fantasy with a bit of a harem element, you might enjoy it more than I did, but personally, it was just okay. Moving on to one of my favorites from this batch, ZENSHU earned a solid 8/10. Wow, this anime was such a pleasant surprise! As someone who appreciates the creative process, seeing the journey of an artist was incredibly compelling. The storytelling felt fresh, and the characters were genuinely endearing. It's not an action-packed series, but the emotional depth and exploration of passion made it incredibly rewarding to watch. Definitely a recommendation if you're looking for something heartfelt and unique. Then there was DEMONLORD2099, which I rated a 7/10. This one had a really cool futuristic vibe mixed with classic demon lord tropes, which was a unique blend. The animation was sleek, and the action scenes were pretty engaging. I enjoyed the blend of technology and magic, and the main character was charismatic enough to carry the story. My only minor critique is that some of the plot points felt a little predictable, but overall, it was a very enjoyable ride and a great way to spend some evenings. Finally, the much-anticipated Solo Leveling! I gave this one an 8/10 as well. I know a lot of people have been waiting for this adaptation, and it largely delivered. The animation quality was phenomenal, especially during the fight scenes – they were absolutely breathtaking! The power progression felt satisfying, and the world-building was intriguing. My only reason for not giving it higher was that sometimes I wanted a little more emotional resonance from the main character, but it's still an absolute must-watch. I'm already hyped for more, especially with that "2025.01 ON AIR" tease! Finishing these series really gets me thinking about what's next. I'm always on the hunt for my next anime obsession. What have you all been watching recently? Are there any hidden gems or popular hits you think I absolutely need to check out? I'm open to all sorts of genres, so hit me with your best recommendations! Let's build up an epic watchlist together.
