What my grades are like with Full Sail
A lot of people asked me in my comments about the school and this is how I’m doing. You can do it too!
Hey everyone! I've been getting so many questions about my grades at Full Sail, and I'm super excited to share how I managed to pull off a 4.0 GPA. When I first started, I was determined to excel, especially since my courses were online. It might seem daunting, but trust me, it's totally achievable if you approach it with the right mindset and strategy. One of the biggest keys to my success, particularly in courses like English Composition I - Online (ENC1101-O) and Creative Skills Development - Online (ECW1225-O), was staying incredibly organized. Online learning requires a lot of self-discipline. I created a weekly schedule, blocked out specific times for lectures, assignments, and studying, and stuck to it religiously. This helped me keep track of deadlines and ensure I wasn't rushing at the last minute. For *English Composition I*, for example, consistent writing practice and understanding the rubric for each essay were game-changers. I always aimed for that 'A grade' by double-checking all requirements. Another crucial tip is to actively engage with your instructors. Even in an online environment, they are there to help! I made it a point to attend virtual office hours or send emails whenever I had questions, whether it was about a tricky concept in Psychology of Play or clarifying expectations for a *Creative Presentation*. Instructors like Rachel Robinson and Brett Pribble, who taught my Creative Skills Development course, were always responsive and provided valuable feedback that really helped me improve. Don't be shy – reaching out shows initiative and can make a huge difference in your understanding and grades. For subjects like Creative Presentation and *Psychology of Play*, I found that going beyond just the required readings was incredibly beneficial. I'd watch supplementary videos, read extra articles, and even discuss topics with classmates in forums. This deeper dive not only made the material more interesting but also strengthened my grasp of the concepts, which definitely reflected in my assignments and projects. For *Full Sail Online Orientation*, it was about really understanding the platform and resources available from day one. Knowing where to find help and how to navigate the system saved me a lot of time and stress later on. Time management was also vital. I broke down larger assignments into smaller, manageable tasks. Instead of thinking, "I need to write a 10-page paper," I'd plan, "Today, I'll outline; tomorrow, I'll write the intro; the day after, a body paragraph," and so on. This made the workload feel less overwhelming and allowed me to consistently make progress. For a 4.0 GPA, every point matters, so I never skipped optional practice quizzes or review sessions if they were offered. Finally, remember to celebrate your small victories and stay motivated! There will be tough weeks, but seeing those 'A' grades on my *Psychology of Play*, *Creative Presentation*, and Full Sail Online Orientation courses, and seeing my current 92.7 in English Composition I and 96.6 in *Creative Skills Development*, was incredibly rewarding. It reinforced that my hard work was paying off. If I can do it, you absolutely can too! Focus on consistency, engagement, and leveraging all the resources Full Sail provides. You've got this!
