5 pieces for $15?!?! Worth or not?

My verdict: NOT worth the price tag. The biscuit was very hard and the white chocolate was just normal and sweet. It wasn’t mindblowing at all. I would much prefer eating other types of japanese biscuits instead of this.

They have a pop-up at Jewel until Feb and another pop-up at Takashimaya till 26 December.

... Read moreIf you're curious about SnowSand biscuits and how they compare with other Japanese biscuit options in Singapore, I can share some additional thoughts. From my visit to the Jewel pop-up, I noticed the texture was quite different from the soft, melt-in-your-mouth biscuits I usually enjoy. The biscuit itself was hard, making it less pleasant to eat slowly or with tea. Price-wise, $15 for 5 pieces felt steep, especially given the average taste of the white chocolate coating. While white chocolate can be a crowd-pleaser, this version was just sweet without any unique flavor notes or creaminess that elevated the experience. If you're exploring Japanese biscuits in Singapore, it’s worth checking out other popular brands or local bakeries specializing in authentic and freshly made Japanese sweets. They tend to offer a better balance of texture, flavor, and value. Also, the SnowSand pop-ups at Jewel (open until February) and Takashimaya (until December 26) could be a convenient chance to try them for yourself. Just go with tempered expectations as it might not become your new favorite biscuit. I recommend pairing these biscuits with a light tea or coffee to mellow out the sweetness. In my experience, enjoying Japanese biscuits is also about finding the right occasion and company, which can make even ordinary treats more enjoyable.
