NYC EATS PT. 1: THE HITS & THE MISSES

L’Industrie is officially the best pizza in New York. Period. Don’t even try to argue on this one, the burrata slice is actually insane and nothing else comes close.

We’re doing 20k steps a day just to keep up with the honeymoon food tour and Part 1 is basically a masterclass in not eating mid food.

The cinnamon scrolls from Sunday Morning are elite and you’re doing NYC wrong if you skip them. Same goes for Bubby’s the pancakes are non-negotiable. It’s a heavy food coma but it’s the only way to do it.

Sadelle’s is obviously a scene but the bagels are a rite of passage for a reason.

And SO MUCH MORE!

Which one are you grabbing first? 👇

... Read moreDuring my own NYC food adventures, I found that pacing yourself is key—especially when exploring a wide variety of eateries as the author did on a honeymoon food tour walking 20,000 steps daily. One standout experience I had was trying the burrata slice at L’Industrie, which truly lives up to its reputation as the city's best pizza. The creamy, rich burrata complements the crispy crust perfectly, a balance that pizza lovers shouldn't miss. Similarly, Sunday Morning’s cinnamon scrolls are extraordinary and could easily be a morning ritual. Their balance of sweetness and spice makes them unforgettable. I also strongly recommend waiting in line for Bubby’s pancakes—their satisfying, fluffy texture offers a comforting escape from the busy NYC hustle. Sadelle’s bagels come with the undeniable cultural cachet of being a NYC classic, and adding toppings like hot honey to an egg, bacon, and cheese bagel creates a sweet and savory combo that’s truly delicious. I also tried the blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese from Bagel Pub and found it refreshingly different and packed with natural fruit flavor. For those who like tofu, Cho Dang Gol’s homemade tofu caught my attention for its fresh, hearty taste—a must for vegetarians or anyone looking for a break from meat-heavy meals. And if you love Mexican food, Los Tacos offers such authentic flavors that I found myself returning multiple times. What I learned from this culinary exploration is that NYC’s food scene is vast and varied. To make the most of it, focus on quality over quantity and prioritize spots loved by locals and repeat visitors alike. By following these tips and trying dishes highlighted by foodies, you can enjoy a rich and fulfilling food tour free from the risk of food fatigue or mid-eating breaks.
