... Read moreHey matcha lovers! If you're anything like me, a perfect day in Puerto Rico simply isn't complete without a vibrant, delicious matcha. I've been on a mission to uncover the absolute best matcha spots across our beautiful island, especially focusing on Caguas, and let me tell you, I’ve found some real gems that I just have to share with you all! My matcha journey often starts in Caguas, a city that surprisingly offers a fantastic array of matcha experiences. One of my absolute favorites has to be The Matcha Caguas. You often see their iconic cups with "THE MATCHA" logo. I can personally vouch for their "Soft Bloom" – it's a 20/10 experience! The blend of flavors is just exquisite, creating a harmonious and refreshing drink that's perfect for any time of day. It's truly a must-try if you're in the area looking for a premium matcha experience. Their dedication to quality is evident in every sip. Another fantastic find in Caguas is Cinnaré Spot Caguas. I tried their "Berry Spot" and it was a delightful 10/10! The layers are beautifully presented, and the berry notes complement the earthy matcha perfectly. It’s not just a drink; it’s an artistic creation that tastes as good as it looks. The ambiance there also makes it a great place to sit back and enjoy your moment. For those who love a fruity twist, Cafecito58 Caguas offers a unique treat: "Matchita Fresa y mango!" This drink, with its vibrant green, white, orange, and red layers, is a burst of tropical flavors. It's a playful and delicious option if you're looking to try something beyond the traditional matcha latte. Seriously, a 10/10 for creativity and taste! And let's not forget Huevo Frito Bistro Café in Caguas, which surprised me with their "Matcha de fresa." This layered drink in a glass jar is another fantastic option for strawberry lovers. It's refreshing and has that perfect balance of sweet and earthy. Venturing a little outside Caguas, I discovered Di Kaffee lounge in Juncos, PR. They have a "Matcha de lavanda" that is simply divine. Garnished with a lavender sprig, it's a calming and fragrant experience that you won't find everywhere. This one definitely stood out for its unique floral notes and tranquil vibe – a solid 10/10 for innovation and relaxation. When I'm searching for "matcha near me" in Puerto Rico, I always look for places that offer not just great taste, but also a pleasant atmosphere and a variety of options. Many cafes are now experimenting with different matcha preparations, from traditional ceremonial styles to creative layered lattes. Don't be afraid to ask for recommendations or try something new! Keep an eye out for places that source high-quality matcha powder, as this makes a huge difference in the final taste. Whether you're a purist or love a bit of flair in your drink, Puerto Rico's matcha scene is booming with options. Happy matcha hunting, everyone!
