This is part 3 of my scholarship tips series!! Make sure to go back and check the last 2 parts!

Some scholarships have an interview as part of the requirements. In interviews you want to show your accomplishments and personality while also appearing professional.

Also make sure to have an elevator speech prepared for when they ask you to introduce yourself. It should be about 30 seconds and tell the judges about you! You can include your name, what grade you’re in, what you want to study, and one or two of your accomplishments or involvement!

I included some practice interview questions! Let me know how you would answer them in the comments!

Questions like 'What are your career goals?' and 'Why do you deserve this scholarship?' allow you to share your unique story and passion. Practice answering these questions to refine your delivery and become more comfortable during the actual interview. In addition to preparation, it’s beneficial to bring extra copies of your resume and any relevant materials to showcase your qualifications. Rehearsing with friends or mentors can provide valuable feedback and boost your confidence. Remember, scholarship interviews are not only a chance for judges to assess your qualifications but also an opportunity for you to illustrate how you align with the scholarship’s values. By following these tips, you can enhance your chances of winning that scholarship money and advancing towards your academic and career goals.
