finals week day 2 - take breaks 🧡
I woke up feeling a little sick this morning, I think it’s just bad allergies:(
I still had to come to school to take exams and get some studying in, but i knew I had to prioritize taking breaks throughout the day.
In the morning, I focused on biochemistry because I had an exam on lipids! I think it went pretty well and I was prepared:) I used notebook LM to study and went through the study guide from the professor! After my exam I stopped by my research lab to run a synthesis and have a lab group meeting! I love my lab group, we always have a lot of fun together and one of the boys brought plants for to decorate the lab!
After my lab meeting, I headed back to my dorm to get some rest. I took some medicine, drank plenty of water, and got cozy in bed with a Netflix documentary! I really needed the rest:)
I wrapped up the day with my spectro chemistry exam review and a quick study session with a friend before heading to bed early.
It is okay to take rest time during finals week! Studying can be really tiring, so make sure to prioritize rest and wellbeing 🪷
Finals week can be overwhelming, especially when juggling multiple subjects and exams. It's important to find effective study strategies that work for you. For instance, breaking your study sessions into manageable chunks with regular breaks can enhance retention and reduce fatigue. Utilizing study guides and engaging in group studies, like I did with friends, can make learning more dynamic and enjoyable. Don't forget the power of self-care; getting enough rest, staying hydrated, and even indulging in a lighthearted documentary can significantly improve your focus and energy levels. Additionally, creating a designated study space, like utilizing a library or a quiet corner in your dorm, can greatly enhance your productivity. Incorporating relaxation techniques, such as mindfulness or short walks, can also help maintain your mental health during this stressful time. Remember, it's okay to take breaks and focus on your wellbeing! Prioritizing both your academic goals and personal health will lead to a more successful finals experience.
