Books I’ve Read So Far…📖🫶🏾

Here’s a peek at the books I read from January to March— all very different stories, but all gave me something.

1. Funny Story by Emily Henry 6 ⭐️

A cozy, slow-burn romance between two people who never expected to fall for each other. Miles is officially my #1 book boyfriend. ❤️

2. Play Along by Liz Tomforde 5⭐️

Fake dating, forced proximity, and a sports romance that gave all the feels. If you love banter + slow burn, this one’s for you! ⚾️

3. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 5⭐️

IYKYK. Watching Harry grow into himself while dealing with grief and injustice hit harder this time.

4. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins 5⭐️

Sharp, brutal, and brilliant. Katniss’s strength, Peeta’s loyalty, and the world-building? Unmatched.

5. Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid 5⭐️

Impossible to put down. The drama, the tension, the heartbreak—so so good. Gotta do the Audiobook!

6. The Sweetest Oblivion by Danielle Lori 4⭐️

My first Mafia romance and I ate it up! Nico was just…deliciously dangerous. Recommend if you’re new to the genre! ♠️

7. The Maddest Obsession by Danielle Lori 3.5⭐️

Gianna, our FMC, was strong, funny, and layered. Christian…I don’t know. It took too long for us to learn about his past and by then, his actions were irredeemable for me. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Have you read any of these? Got any recs for my TBR? Let’s chat in the comments!

... Read moreIn the world of literature, every book has its own unique flavor, and sometimes it reflects our personal journeys. During the first quarter of the year, I delved into diverse genres, each offering insights and emotions that resonated with me deeply. One standout was 'Funny Story' by Emily Henry, a delightful romance that showcases the complexities of love mixed with humor. The dynamics between characters often mirror real-life relationships, making it relatable for readers. Emily Henry, renowned for her engaging narratives, has carved a niche in contemporary romance, creating characters that linger long after the last page. Another gem, 'Play Along' by Liz Tomforde, perfectly encapsulates the essence of fake dating and the unexpected warmth that comes from forced proximity. This book is a testament to the charm of sports romances, and the banter between characters elevates the reading experience. Then there's 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.' This series remains a powerful fixture in children's literature and resonates with themes of resilience and friendship. For many, rereading this classic awakens nostalgia, reminding us of formative years. The intensity of 'The Hunger Games' cannot be understated. Suzanne Collins' narrative not only entertains but also pushes readers to ponder societal constructs and moral dilemmas, a reflection that is incredibly relevant today. Daisy Jones & The Six immerses you into the rock scene with a story told through an innovative format. Listening to the audiobook version enhances the dramatic flair, making it an unforgettable journey. Mafia romances like 'The Sweetest Oblivion' and 'The Maddest Obsession' offer an enticing glimpse into a world that's both glamorous and perilous. They explore the darker sides of love and loyalty while portraying complex characters that defy traditional norms. Have you explored any of these books? If you're on the hunt for new recommendations, be sure to share your TBR list in the comments! Let's build a vibrant community of readers sharing stories and recommendations!
