Tengo que dejar de luchar
Hey everyone! As we head into 2026, I've been doing a lot of reflection, and it hit me: I'm just so *tired of fighting*. You know that feeling, right? Like you're constantly battling against things you can't control, and it just drains every ounce of hope and energy from you. For too long, I've been trying to wrestle with the 'catastrophe and the inevitable,' as I like to call it, and honestly, I'm done. This year, my big resolution is to embrace what I call 'powerful resignation' – not giving up, but strategically letting go. So, what exactly am I letting go of in 2026? First on my list is the need to control everything. I've spent so much time and emotional effort trying to steer situations that were clearly beyond my grasp. Whether it's external circumstances, other people's choices, or even past events, I've realized that trying to force an outcome only leads to exhaustion. Instead of fighting against the current, I'm learning to observe, adapt, and accept what *is*, rather than what I desperately wish *would be*. It’s like accepting that the sky has closed, and instead of trying to pry it open, finding beauty in the stars that still shine through. Next, I'm actively working on releasing past hurts and regrets. We all carry baggage from previous experiences, words said, or opportunities missed. I used to dwell on these, replaying scenarios in my head, wishing I could change them. But dwelling just keeps us stuck. For 2026, I'm committing to acknowledging those feelings, learning the lessons, and then consciously leaving them behind. They don't serve my present or my future. It’s about accepting that some battles are over, and the only way forward is to stop fighting them in your mind. I'm also letting go of toxic expectations – both from myself and others. Sometimes we put immense pressure on ourselves to be perfect, to achieve unrealistic goals, or to live up to someone else's ideal. And then there are the expectations from others that can weigh us down. I'm learning to set healthier boundaries and remind myself that my worth isn't tied to external validation or achieving every single thing I set out to do. It’s okay to not have all the answers, it’s okay to be imperfect, and it’s okay to say no. This freedom is a huge step towards finding inner peace. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I'm embracing what my original thoughts called 'resignación' – but not in a defeatist way. For me, it's about accepting what cannot be changed, and finding power in that acceptance. It’s about acknowledging when there truly are ‘no hope left’ for a particular outcome, and redirecting that energy towards something fruitful. It’s about letting go of the fight against what is inevitable, not because you're weak, but because you're strong enough to choose your battles wisely. This isn't giving up; it's choosing where to invest your precious energy. It's about 'embracing strongly' a new path forward, rather than clinging to a path that's closed. So, as we look towards 2026, I encourage you to think about what you're ready to let go of. What battles are you tired of fighting? What heavy burdens are you ready to put down? Let's make 2026 the year we embrace peace, acceptance, and a fresh start by consciously choosing what truly deserves our energy.
