~95% TOTALITY SOLAR ECLIPSE

Sadly I wasn’t able to get far enough south to get 100% but to see this in person was a once in a lifetime opportunity nonetheless.

Saying I was nervous was an understatement, all the horror stories about people burning out their gear and accidentally destroying their eyesight… but after hobbling a makeshift solar filter together it all came together.

2024 solar eclipse 🌙

THIS WAS THE COOLEST THING I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! I’m so lucky to live in the path of totality for this eclipse! It was absolutely WILDDDD to witness and watch the sunshine get progressively dimmer until it all went dark. The frogs came out, the street lamps came on, we saw a few planets!!

Solar Eclipse @Carbondale

Im lucky that I have family down in the totality in Carbondale. The solar eclipse was so cool! We went to the fairgrounds early for food and snacks and then got on a big hill for viewing. It was so quiet as the sun was completely covered. Deff worth the trip to visit! #solareclipse #views #

⭐️Overall rating: 5/5: The eclipse passed over my small town this afternoon, and it was everything! It got way darker than what the pictures show! During totality, it looked like that part of the evening after the sun goes down and you know you only have 5 more minutes until total darkness.
