Let's talk about the main characters first. We've got Momo Ayase, this super fiery brown-haired girl who believes in ghosts but not aliens. She's strong, a bit hot-headed, and has some serious spiritual powers. Then there’s Ken Takakura, or Okarun as Momo calls him, the boy with glasses who's initially skeptical about ghosts but a huge believer in aliens. Their contrasting beliefs set the stage for so much of the humor and plot! Watching them interact, bickering one moment and fiercely protecting each other the next, is just pure gold. They're both thrown into this world of supernatural entities, gaining strange new abilities and facing off against everything from mischievous spirits to bizarre alien beings. Their growth throughout the story is genuinely captivating, and you can't help but root for their bizarre bond. Beyond our dynamic duo, there are so many memorable figures. The infamous Turbo Granny, the mysterious Serpo, and even Momo's own grandmother, Seiko, add so much flavor to the narrative. Each character, no matter how small, feels unique and contributes to the overall chaos and charm of Dan Da Dan. The 'white-haired figure' often seen lurking in the background or interacting with the main characters always brings an element of surprise and further deepens the supernatural lore. And the scenes? Oh my goodness, the scenes! Whether it's a breathtaking action sequence involving ghosts and aliens, a hilarious misunderstanding during their daily life, or a genuinely emotional moment between Momo and Okarun, Dan Da Dan delivers. The artwork is incredibly dynamic, making every panel and potential anime scene pop with energy. From the intricate details in the character designs to the stunning depictions of various supernatural entities, every drawing is a treat. You get these intense battles, laugh-out-loud comedic timing, and even moments that tug at your heartstrings. The way the story balances these elements is masterful.
