To this day i don’t know why the flareups happened but it took me years to get my skin back to where I wanted it. Even though i struggled for years with my acne I still trying my best to remember my worth and to keep my head up. I was very blessed with amazing friends and boyfriends that always were there for me when I doubted. I truly appreciate all those people that helped me. And gave me compliments every day! 🥰

For me, the turning point came when I decided to be patient and consistent with my skincare routine, even on days when progress felt slow. One of the most effective changes was prioritizing hygiene by changing my pillowcase every night. This small step can significantly reduce bacteria and oil buildup that worsen acne. Hydration played a crucial role too. Drinking plenty of water helps flush out toxins and keeps skin plump and clear, while cutting down on sugary sodas reduces inflammation. Over time, I noticed that eating more vegetables like spinach, carrots, and cucumbers helped provide my skin with essential vitamins. Washing my face twice daily, especially immediately after workouts, prevented sweat and grime from clogging my pores. Using gentle yet effective makeup wipes ensured that no residue was left overnight, which I found critical since sleeping in makeup only aggravated my skin further. Beyond skincare, supporting my mental health was just as vital. Having friends and loved ones who encouraged me reminded me of my self-worth beyond my appearance. It’s important to celebrate small victories and remember that skin transformation takes time. If you’re going through a similar journey, I recommend tracking what works for your skin and embracing healthy lifestyle choices. Sometimes, consulting a dermatologist for personalized advice can accelerate progress. Remember, glowing skin is a reflection of overall health, and feeling confident inside out is the real goal.
