Never Too Busy For God
Have you ever been too busy for God? #christianlemon8 #christianmotivation
It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life, isn't it? Sometimes I find myself rushing from one task to the next, and before I know it, the day is over, and I haven't carved out a single moment for God. I used to think I was just 'too busy,' but then I realized, as the saying goes, 'never allow yourself to get too busy for God.' He wants us to improve and continue to be the best version of ourselves, and that truly starts with nurturing our relationship with Him. Finding dedicated 'quiet time with God' might sound daunting, but it's essential for our spiritual growth. It's when we stop relying on our own strength and lean into His. This isn't about rigid rules, but about creating space to get closer to Him, to listen, and to be refreshed. For me, scripture has been an absolute game-changer in making my quiet time meaningful. Here are some powerful Bible verses and scriptures that have truly blessed my quiet time and helped me draw closer to God: Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” This verse is a beautiful reminder to pause, breathe, and acknowledge God's sovereignty amidst life's chaos. It helps me recenter and find peace. Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” When I feel overwhelmed or anxious about my to-do list, these verses guide me to surrender my worries to Him and trust in His peace. Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” This is a comforting passage when I feel spiritually exhausted or stretched too thin. It reminds me that true rest comes from Him. Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse is a powerful affirmation of God's presence and strength, especially when I'm tempted to rely solely on my own capabilities. James 4:8: “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” A direct invitation to intimacy, reminding me that the initiative to connect often starts with my willingness to approach Him. Beyond just reading, I find journaling my thoughts and prayers, and simply sitting in silent reflection, incredibly helpful during my quiet time. Maybe you set aside 10 minutes in the morning before the day truly begins, or perhaps a few precious moments during your lunch break. The key is consistency, even if it's short. Don't let the thought of needing an hour deter you from starting. God knows exactly what we need, and any time spent with Him is valuable. Remember, God isn't asking for perfection, just your presence. He wants to bring you closer to Him and make you a better person. By intentionally making space for Him, we allow Him to work in us, guiding us away from relying solely on our own strength and towards His unfailing love and wisdom. It's truly a journey to become the best version of ourselves, with Him leading the way.
