Pre nursing students
Heyyy ! So I’m in Pre-Nursing and these are just a few things we’ve dissected this semester
A fetal pig
Pigs kidney
Mammal heart
In the journey of becoming a nurse, hands-on experiences are invaluable. This semester has introduced various biological dissections, including a fetal pig, pig's kidney, and mammal heart, which are crucial for understanding human anatomy and physiology. Dissection serves not only as an educational tool but also as a practical application of theoretical knowledge. When pre-nursing students handle anatomical specimens, they gain a deeper appreciation for how organ systems work in a living body. This understanding is foundational for later clinical practices, where knowledge of bodily functions is essential. In addition to dissections, pre-nursing students often engage in various labs that simulate real-world scenarios, such as taking vital signs, administering basic care, and understanding medical terminology. These hands-on practices ensure that students not only learn the science behind nursing but also develop critical thinking and compassionate skills necessary for patient care. Networking with peers through forums such as #prenursingstudent and #student can also enhance learning opportunities, whereby students can share resources, study tips, and emotional support throughout this rigorous program. As aspiring nurses, forming connections with fellow students can be a tremendous asset during both their academic journey and future careers.
