Paratrooper police
The Paratrooper Police is a police, which is heavily trained, makes the police of this unit disciplined, strong, courageous, patient, effectively perform the duties of the important tasks assigned to it, always admired and praised.
Parachuting is a branch battle. The idea is to deploy behind enemy lines. The force will lack support, must train skills, livelihood, outside combat, and special combat.
The Paratroopers Police was established for the first time as Chief of Police, Tribal Sriyanont, as the Director General of the Police Department. The period 1952-1953 provided training for paratroopers at Camp Erawan, Lop Buri Province, as Thailand's first parachute training unit.
With Police Colonel James William Lair (Bill Lair), Police Lieutenant John Eldon Schery (Jack Schery), and Police Lieutenant Jefferson David Sheik (Jeff Sheik) as American drill instructors, the three are later packaged as police commissioners, and given royal rank.
General Commander Schwalart, a former Army Chief of Staff, a writer officer, once recorded the origin of the paratrooper police and paratrooper soldiers:
"The birth of a paratrooper soldier took over from the paratrooper police, where the tribal police officer Sriyanont established a training camp in the area of the water house of the city of Chulphburi, and then he changed his name to Erawan, because the mountain looked like a three-headed elephant lying.
The paratrooper police got an instructor from the rescue of the United States. If it was unsuccessful, the policeman would definitely suffer fate.
The radio ground officer contacted the pilot to fly back against the wind, hovering several times, and the umbrella eventually fell out of the tail of the plane, and the umbrella spread perfectly. The policeman survived. The name "Sublime, the glass deer" was a paratrooper, the overlord camp, until he retired.
The paratrooper police stayed in Erawan until 1953, so they transferred this training camp to the Army, and the police went to pioneer a new paratrooper training camp in Hua Hin District. "
Gen. Thong Lek, a former defense secretary, wrote a memo about the paratrooper police, saying, "Colonel James William Lair is the one behind or causing the" paratroopers "in Thailand. In fact, if officially speaking, it is considered that the tribal police officer Sriyanont gave birth to the paratrooper police."

หลายคนทักมาถามว่า “ตำรวจพลร่มคืออะไร” ต่างจากตำรวจทั่วไปยังไง จากที่เคยได้เห็นการฝึกและคุยกับรุ่นพี่ในสายนี้ สิ่งที่เด่นสุดคือความเป็นหน่วยที่ต้องพร้อมปฏิบัติภารกิจยากๆ และใช้ความอึดมากกว่าปกติ เพราะการ “โดดร่ม” ไม่ใช่แค่กิจกรรมเท่ๆ แต่เป็นทักษะทางยุทธวิธีที่ต้องทำให้ได้อย่างปลอดภัยและทำงานต่อได้ทันทีหลังลงพื้น เรื่อง “หลักสูตรโดดร่มตำรวจ” โดยภาพรวมจะเน้นระเบียบวินัยและความปลอดภัยแบบจริงจัง ตั้งแต่ทำความคุ้นเคยกับอุปกรณ์ร่มชูชีพ การเช็กร่ม/สายรัด การขึ้น-ลงจากอากาศยาน ท่าทางตอนออกประตูเครื่องบิน การควบคุมร่ม การเตรียมลงพื้น (PLF) และการเก็บร่มหลังลงจอด ใครที่คิดว่าแค่กล้าโดดก็พอ บอกเลยว่าไม่พอ เพราะสิ่งที่ต้องท่องและทำซ้ำๆ คือเช็กลำดับขั้นตอนให้ถูกทุกครั้ง ลดความเสี่ยงให้มากที่สุด อีกคำที่เจอบ่อยคือ “paru คืออะไร” หลายคนใช้เรียกกันว่า Paratrooper/พลร่ม (คำย่อ/คำทับศัพท์ที่ใช้ในวงการ) เวลาเห็นคนเรียก “PARU” เลยจะเชื่อมโยงกับสายงานพลร่มและการฝึกโดดร่มเป็นหลัก ส่วนที่หลายคนเสิร์ชหาเยอะมากคือ “ชุดตำรวจพลร่ม/ชุดพลร่ม/ชุดโดดร่ม” จากที่เห็นของจริงจะมีทั้งชุดลายพรางสำหรับภาคสนาม หมวกกันน็อค/แว่นกันแดด (ช่วยทั้งกันเศษวัสดุและลดแสง) อุปกรณ์ร่มชูชีพที่ต้องฟิตพอดีตัว รวมถึงเครื่องประกอบอื่นๆ ที่ติดตามภารกิจ วันฝึกยิงปืนก็มักแต่งกายให้เหมาะกับสนามและความปลอดภัย เช่น อุปกรณ์ป้องกันหู-ตา และการปฏิบัติตามกฎสนามยิงอย่างเคร่งครัด สำหรับคนที่ถาม “ขอรูป” หรืออยากดูภาพชุดเต็มยศ/ภาพโดดร่ม แนะนำเวลาหาดูให้สังเกตบริบทด้วยว่ามาจากการฝึกจริง (มีร่มชูชีพ อุปกรณ์ครบ ทีมอยู่ในพื้นที่ฝึก) จะได้เข้าใจว่าหน่วยนี้ไม่ได้มีแค่ภาพเท่ๆ แต่มีวินัยและมาตรฐานความปลอดภัยเป็นหัวใจ ถ้าใครสนใจ “ตำรวจพลร่มค่ายนเรศวร” หรือเส้นทางไปสายนี้ ลองเริ่มจากศึกษาคุณสมบัติและการคัดเลือกของหน่วย/หน่วยต้นสังกัด แล้วเตรียมร่างกายให้พร้อม โดยเฉพาะความฟิต ความอึด และการควบคุมสติ เพราะเวลาขึ้นฟ้าแล้ว “ก็ต้องโดดร่ม” ตามขั้นตอนจริงๆ ไม่มีทางลัด
