📚🩺 FIRST TERM OF NURSING SCHOOL: COMPLETE! 🌞💉
Spring Term II 2025 — you tested me 🤹🏾♀️🫀, stretched me 👀🪤, and grew me🤓☕️
Here’s the real tea 🫖 for anyone stepping into nursing school without a healthcare background:
🩻 NURS 100 - Fundamentals of Nursing
10/10 — Not hard, just UNFAMILIAR. If you’ve never worked in healthcare, it’s a learning curve. This course showed me the circle of life in a new way — from gas exchange to intake/output. Grateful for a professor who made it make sense.
📘 NURS 110 - Intro to Professional Nursing
6.5/10 — Whew. This class teaches you how to think, act, and speak like a nurse. Scope of practice, The Joint Commission, Maslow’s, legal + ethical responsibilities. Verbal + nonverbal communication matter. Be graceful with yourself here.
🧪 NURS 101L - Skills Lab (PASS OR FAIL)
7.8/10 — Skills? Constant learning. Clinicals? Eye-opening. Less hands-on practice time than I hoped, but real experience taught me what TO do and what NOT to do. Always remember your WHY.
✨ I didn’t study but had I did I’d be an A and B student. I’m still adapting, and I say this with full honesty. But grace carried me, and God stayed faithful. 🙏🏾
🎯 Study now. Use your resources. Review A&P + Patho. Practice med math. You can thrive — even when it feels unfamiliar.
📅 On to the next! Summer 2025 I’ll see you NEXT WEEK✍🏾
