I’m feeling edgy today…
It’s been 12 years since I was diagnosed with PCOS and I still don’t feel like I have a handle on it… Especially days like today when I wake up feeling anxious, edgy and a little off for seemingly no reason. My mouth is dry even though I have drank 100 oz of water and added a pack of liquid IV to one of my glasses. My stomach is bloated and I’m not sure of what to eat because I don’t want to make it worse.
It would be so easy for me to go the self pity route and feel sorry for myself… but I have been there and done that. Instead I’m going to go drink a cup of hot tea, listen to some calming music and try to relax my mind.
Today’s Affirmation: Everything is happening best case scenario! 💆🏾♀️✨🫖

Dealing with PCOS-related symptoms can be a rollercoaster of emotions. Many individuals face days filled with anxiety and physical discomfort, which can feel isolating. Recognizing the signs of a difficult day is crucial in managing your mental health. Some effective coping strategies include practicing mindfulness and meditation, which help center your thoughts and reduce anxiety levels. Engaging in gentle physical activity, such as yoga or even a leisurely walk, can also alleviate some of the discomfort associated with bloating and stress. It's essential to listen to your body and respond with kindness. For instance, make nutritional choices that are gentle on your digestive system—try herbal teas or easy-to-digest soups on difficult days. Keeping a food diary can also help pinpoint triggers that exacerbate your symptoms, enabling you to adjust your diet accordingly. Furthermore, connecting with others who understand the challenges of PCOS can be incredibly therapeutic. Online support groups or local meetups provide a safe space for sharing experiences and strategies for emotional and physical self-care. Finally, remember that affirmations, like stating that everything is happening for the best, can shift your mindset toward positivity and resilience. Embrace the journey with compassion and a sense of community, and take each day as it comes.
