Ways I grew my hair long. All my natural hair

... Read moreGrowing your hair long naturally requires patience and consistent care, and from my experience, avoiding chemical-heavy salon products and heat styling can make a huge difference. I haven't used a heat protectant or any salon product for over a year, yet my hair has grown significantly long and healthy. One key aspect has been skipping regular haircuts; I haven't had a trim in a year, allowing my hair to retain its length. However, this doesn't mean neglecting hair health—using a $10 hairbrush gently on wet or dry hair helps minimize breakage and split ends. Highlighting my hair occasionally provided a mild care routine boost without relying on harsh treatments. But it’s important to note that avoiding "experts" who don't have experience with long hair is crucial; sometimes advice from professionals unfamiliar with natural hair growth can be counterproductive. In addition, embracing natural oils and deep conditioning treatments can support moisture and strength. Drinking plenty of water and maintaining a balanced diet rich in vitamins A, C, D, and E, plus biotin, can also enhance hair growth from within. Overall, my approach focused on simplicity and consistency—minimal product use, avoiding heat, gentle brushing, and healthy lifestyle choices. This helped me grow my natural hair long and strong without damage or frustration.
