Pyrite, also known as "diamond in front of the anvil," is a sulfide mineral with a shiny yellow gold like metal, whose name comes from the Greek word "fire," because when it strikes iron, it sparks, and in the old days it was often mistaken for gold, so it was called "Fool's Gold."
