DIVISION ➗💔

We are not saying don't address issues within the community. We are saying, don't burn down the entire neighborhood doing so.... People are throwing the baby out with the bath water. "The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend" is a saying which has saved countless communities since humans came out of the caves, for a reason. It's not a "coup-out" or "gas lighting" to find common ground with people you disagree with, however share the same goals.

Simply not liking someone is not an excuse. Everyone has a co-worker they didn't like to work with, that is not "being toxic or a danger." You didn't quit every job you had the instant you disagreed with that co-worker, did you? 🧐 We must promote understanding, unity & community. Individualism is NOT the answer for communities. Yet many keep trying to use its logic for sorting out disagreements between thousands of people.

Do you know what the definition of insanity is? "Doing the same action over & over, & expecting a different outcome." Food for thought Portland & other music festivals out there. How about we change tactics & try the Mr. Rodgers/LeVar Burton approach & not the angry "Tyler Durdan" one? That guy was LITERALLY a made up fantasy, in real life & in the movie "Fight Club." You ever wonder where this inspiration the Portland based author pulled from? 🤔 Movie trivia as our closing remarks on this matter. Use love, not hate. Spread unity, not division. Talk things out in person, not over phones. That where you truly begin to build community, mending burnt bridges ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 #community #people #unity #united #america /Portland

... Read moreIn any community, true strength comes from working together despite differences. The phrase "The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend" highlights the importance of alliance and cooperation, even when complete agreement isn’t possible. It shows that communities thrive when members find shared goals and focus on them instead of letting disagreements drive wedges. The OCR text listing various "581 AKTION" phrases may symbolically represent ongoing action or activism that has impacted the community. While activism and addressing problems are necessary, it’s crucial that efforts aim to heal and unite rather than create further division or destruction. Like the article suggests, "burning down the entire neighborhood" in attempts to fix problems ultimately hurts all members. Individualism, while valued in some contexts, often falls short when solving complex social issues involving many people. When thousands live and work together, prioritizing unity and mutual understanding builds resilience. Simple dislike or personal conflicts shouldn’t escalate to widespread discord. As in workplaces where people navigate personalities daily, communities require similar patience and open dialogue. The article’s call to change tactics—from anger and confrontational approaches to those inspired by compassionate figures like Mr. Rogers and LeVar Burton—emphasizes a constructive path forward. These role models demonstrate how kindness, empathy, and personal connection can mend broken relationships and bridge divides. For cities like Portland, which have witnessed tense moments and protests, these insights serve as important reminders. Activism fuels progress but must be tempered with love, respect, and in-person communication to rebuild trust and community bonds. Ultimately, fostering unity involves ongoing effort. By rejecting toxic behaviors and embracing shared humanity, neighborhoods become safer and more vibrant places to live. Learning to listen deeply, discussing issues face to face, and prioritizing collective well-being over individual grievances are key steps toward lasting peace and prosperity. This mindset transforms "division" into opportunity—where communities become stronger not despite their differences, but because they continuously seek understanding and stand united in common purpose.
