Some moments don't need to be recorded. They just need to be lived. 🤍

I stepped away from posting for a few days and honestly it was exactly what my soul needed 🤍 We spent time together as a family at Bear Lake and I made a conscious choice to just BE there. No filming, no planning content, no thinking about what to post. Just people, nature, and moments I will carry with me for the rest of my life 🙏

Some seasons of life remind you why presence is the greatest gift you can give 🤍 So grateful I chose that this week.

From my own experiences, I can attest that unplugging from the digital world allows for a deeper connection with family and nature. When we stop worrying about documenting our experiences, we're more attuned to the small details that make memories truly meaningful—the laughter shared, the quiet sounds of nature, the genuine interactions that photos simply can’t convey. During a recent family getaway at a lakeside retreat, I chose to focus on presence rather than posts. This choice enriched my experience in ways that posting updates never could. The serenity of the natural surroundings—gently lapping water, rustling leaves, and the warmth of sunlight—grounded me in the moment. It reminded me that mindfulness is a gift we give ourselves and others, reinforcing emotional bonds and fostering gratitude. Moreover, experiences like these highlight why some moments are precious because they’re fleeting and personal. By fully immersing ourselves, without distractions, we nurture our mental and emotional well-being. For caregivers, especially those managing autism in a family setting, these peaceful moments offer much-needed respite and renewal. In embracing the mantra of 'Some moments don’t need to be recorded; they just need to be lived,' we affirm the value of genuine human connection and the healing power of nature. I encourage anyone feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to constantly share life online to try stepping back. You may find that the memories you create in stillness are the ones you treasure most.

Just to give some context — the past 3 days were 100% present with family during something really beautiful and really hard at the same time 🤍 The clip was just to get the message across. Any photos and memories captured were simply to hold onto moments with someone who may not be with us much longer. The irony of the text is not lost on me though 🙏🤍
