... Read moreOkay, so let's get into the nitty-gritty of this amazing primer! A question I see a lot is, 'Is the Milani Blur Smoothing Primer silicone or water-based?' And for good reason! Knowing this helps you pick the right foundation for a seamless look. From my experience and a quick peek at the ingredients, this primer definitely leans towards a silicone-based formula. This is exactly why it's so good at creating that smooth, velvety canvas – silicones fill in fine lines and pores, giving you that 'blur' effect everyone raves about. If you’re using a silicone-based foundation, this primer will be your best friend for preventing pilling and ensuring everything blends beautifully. Now, how do I get the most out of it? After my skincare routine, I take a pea-sized amount of the Milani Blur Smoothing Primer and gently pat it onto my T-zone and any areas where I have larger pores or fine lines. I let it sit for about 30 seconds to a minute before going in with my foundation. This little waiting game makes a huge difference in how my makeup applies and lasts. It truly locks everything in place, and I've noticed my foundation looks fresher for so much longer, even on super busy days. You might also be wondering about other Milani primers, like the Milani Skin Quench Hydrating Primer or the Milani Supercharged Dewy Primer, or even the Milani Putty Primer. Here’s my take: if your main concern is dryness and you want a plump, radiant look, the Hydrating or Dewy primers are fantastic. They add a boost of moisture and give your skin that glowing-from-within effect. But if you’re like me and struggle with visible pores and uneven texture, the Milani Blur Smoothing Primer is your absolute go-to. It's designed specifically for that airbrushed, soft-focus finish. The Putty Primer is also great for blurring, but I find the Smoothing Primer's texture feels a bit lighter on my skin, which I prefer. Choosing the right primer really depends on your skin type and what you want to achieve with your makeup look that day. I’ve experimented with so many primers over the years, and the Milani Blur Smoothing Primer consistently delivers. It’s become a staple in my routine. Not only does it make my makeup look better, but it also feels incredibly lightweight – never greasy or heavy. If you’re on the hunt for an affordable primer that genuinely blurs, smooths, and extends the wear of your makeup, seriously, give this one a try. It’s a game-changer for achieving that 'filtered' look in real life! Trust me, your foundation will thank you.

I’ve seen so many videos about this primer and I’m just here to say that elf has one that’s just like it and it comes in a pump and it’s called the velvet finish primer. I found it on Amazon. It’s an all white bottle with black lettering.
