Candy Pie

These quick and easy pies can be customized to your liking! What’s your favorite candy? Kit Kats? Reeces? Heath? Butterfinger? Not a fan of “candy”? Try Oreos instead!

Ingredients:

- 1 graham cracker pie crust

-1 8oz block a cream cheese, softened

-1 small thing (8oz) of cool whip, softened

-1 tsp vanilla

-1/2 cup powder sugar

-1-2 cups a candy of choice

Recipe:

1. Beat together cream cheese and cool whip until combined.

2. Add in vanilla and powder sugar. Beat again.

3. Chop up candy of choice and fold in.

4. Pour into pie crust and sprinkle with more candy for topping.

5. Place in freezer for at least 2 hours to firm up.

**when ready to serve you may need to let it sit out for 15 minutes or so to soften slightly to make it easier to cut.

So let’s talk candy’s and “amount”. In the pictured pie we chose to do Kit Kats. We used 16 of the “Snack size” bars because we had them at the house. 14 of them were chopped and mixed in the other two were used on the top. Other times when doing butterfinger I have used 4-5 regular size bars. To save time by the pre chopped Heath or Butterfingers in the baking isle by the chocolate chips. There is no right or wrong amount. I typically just start chopping and folding it in until I think the amount looks good.

Give this pie with your favorite candy mixed in and let me know how it turned out in the comments below!

No candy lover can resist this indulgent dessert, and you can even tailor it for those who prefer different treats, such as Oreos. To enhance the flavor, consider factors such as the type of candy and the amount you add; more isn’t always better, as it can alter the overall texture and taste. In fact, many bakers recommend experimenting with various proportions to find your ideal mix! Don’t skip the freezing step! It’s essential for achieving the right consistency, and it ensures that your pie is easy to slice and serve when the time comes. For best results, let your candy pie sit at room temperature for a few minutes before slicing, as this makes it easier to cut through the beautifully set layers. Encourage your guests to share their favorite toppings or suggest combinations they love, creating a collaborative dessert experience. Creating a candy pie is about more than just eating—it’s about enjoying the process and exploring flavors!
