Sickness

Me and my girls have been fighting something this week

that my littlest picked up from the trampoline park.

• Juice from 1 large lemon or 2 small lemons

• A splash of apple cider vinegar

• A dash of cayenne pepper more if you can tolerate the heat

• Honey to taste

• Mixed with 6-8oz of hot water

The cayenne pepper has a numbing effect.

When mixed with apple cider vinegar, it not only enhances flavor but also provides antimicrobial benefits, making it ideal for battling germs. Cayenne pepper adds both spiciness and a unique numbing sensation, which can help alleviate throat discomfort. Honey is a fantastic addition, offering soothing properties and a touch of sweetness that makes this drink enjoyable to consume. Furthermore, staying hydrated is essential when you're unwell. Warm liquids can help loosen mucus and ease coughs, while also offering hydration, making this tea a doubly beneficial option. To prepare, simply mix the juice of fresh lemons with a bit of apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, and hot water, and sweeten with honey to taste. This simple remedy not only warms you up but supports your body in healing naturally. Don't forget to monitor symptoms closely and consult a healthcare professional when necessary, especially if symptoms persist. Incorporating healthy habits and remedies like this tea can be a crucial part of your wellness routine.

I need to try this the next time I’m sick. I always taught my girls that when we’re sick we drink lots of hot tea. It seems to help.
