Best Strawberry Cake Ever 😋

Cake ingredients

•1 lb Strawberries (Puree and reduce to 1/2 cup)

•2 1/2 cups cake cups flour

•2 tsp baking powder

•½ tsp baking soda

•1 tsp salt

•¾ cup unsalted butter

•1 ¾ cup sugar

•5 egg whites

•⅓ cup sour cream

•2 tsp vanilla extract

•½ cup whole milk

Strawberry Buttercream Icing ingredients

2 sticks unsalted butter (room temp)

4 cups powdered sugar

2 tsp strawberry extract

1tsp vanilla

4 tbsp heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup freeze dried strawberries (crushed)

Chocolate Ganache

• 6oz semi sweet chocolate chips

• 4 oz heavy whipping cream

Cake instructions:

Combine butter and sugar until smooth.

In a separate bowl combine dry ingredients and set aside.

Add egg whites mix until no longer glossy.

Next add sour cream and vanilla extract.

Once combined slowly add flour mixture and milk alternating between the two. When fully combined add in strawberry puree. Bake on 350 for 25 to 30 mins

Icing Instructions:

Cream room temperature butter until smooth

Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and strawberry extract and mix until fully combined. Fold in freeze dried strawberries. Allow to rest 1-2 hours before using.

Chocolate Ganache Instructions:

Add 4oz of heavy whipping cream and 6oz semi sweet chocolate chips to a medium saucepan and turn the heat to medium low. Once the chocolate has melted and heavy whipping cream is fully combined you can place in a condiment bottle or piping bag to decorate with.
