Where I stayed in Europe as a budget travel solo female girl

6/22 Edited to

... Read moreTraveling solo across Europe on a budget yet prioritizing comfort can be challenging but rewarding. During my trip, I found that opting for affordable hotels rather than hostels greatly enhanced my experience, especially with better sleep quality and privacy. For instance, in London, the Garden View Hotel offered a spacious bed, 24/7 hot water, and convenient amenities like complimentary coffee sachets and EU/UK power sockets, perfect for charging multiple devices. While the balcony was less appealing due to cleanliness issues, the overall hotel stay felt safe and comfortable. In Germany, my stay at aGo Hostels Koln Dom showed that even budget lodgings could balance location convenience and cleanliness, being just a short walk from Koln’s central station and featuring spacious rooms suitable for solo travelers. However, some limitations like the lack of multiple charging ports and minimal air conditioning required creative adjustments like requesting fans, which I managed to secure. These experiences taught me the importance of carefully selecting accommodations that offer helpful amenities such as 24/7 hot water, toiletries, breakfast options, and flexibility in housekeeping requests, even if it means paying slightly more than hostel prices. Safety ratings played a significant role in my decision-making, ensuring peaceful nights without sacrificing budget. Additionally, considering proximity to public transport helped me maximize time for sightseeing and minimized extra spending on commuting. If you’re a solo female traveler on a budget, I highly recommend researching the specifics of each hotel’s amenities and customer service reviews beforehand. Prioritize places with good safety and cleanliness scores to maintain peace of mind. Combining this approach with mobile booking apps to handle housekeeping or requests can improve your travel comfort. Remember, a good night’s rest lays the foundation for memorable and enjoyable daily adventures across Europe.
