Bye Bye Hair, Hello Beautiful!

So this is something that I wanted to do for a really long time, but I was afraid. It isn't the first time I've had my haircut short, however it is the first time I've had it THIS short! I used to be really self-conscious about looking like a guy, i.e. my brother or my father. People never meant it in a malicious way but to me I would hear "you look masculine, you look like a guy." creating a fear of ever cutting my hair off. But as you can see I am absolutely loving every moment of this look!!

I feel like a brand new person, like I own the world. I wish I could go back to that girl who did it the first few times and say "screw it, screw them, look how beautiful you are and look how amazing you are.!!"

This life is what you make it and it's okay to fear something new, something different, embrace it and take that leap of faith. I look forward to living 2024 so unapologetically happy, confidently, genuinely, and fiercely.

Embracing a new hairstyle, like going short, can feel daunting, especially if you've been conditioned to associate shorter hair with masculinity or other stereotypes. However, taking that leap of faith can be liberating! Recent trends in hair fashion indicate that short hairstyles are making a significant comeback. From pixie cuts to stylish bobs, these looks are not just for certain face shapes or lifestyles; they can be a canvas of self-expression for everyone. Celebrities and influencers alike have been flaunting their short hairstyles, radiating confidence and encouraging others to break traditional norms. It's essential to remember that hair grows back. The temporary nature of this change can be a freeing thought. Engaging in supportive communities, such as online forums and social media groups, can provide the encouragement needed to make this bold move. Sharing experiences, styling tips, and relationship dynamics can build connections that foster a community of growth and acceptance. Self-love and acceptance are crucial in this journey of personal transformation. Once you make that cut, enjoy the feeling of renewal and confidence.
