Memory of me 🤎

The world has seemed black and hopeful for a really long time. I know contradictory, but I manifest happiness while drowning in my sorrows. Dancing out the pain, wanting to release the flood of chaos lurking behind every door. Holding back in fear of washing away every bit of light that's left. I'm the peacekeeper, but where's my peace. "Try harder," they say. "Consistency is key" I'm consistently suffering, where's the grace for me. Yet I wear a smile on my face the poster child for positivity, given the circumstances. "It could be worse," so I should be happy? Why is the depth of my scar being measured against a wound that knows not my struggle. Day in day out fallin risin fallin risin, flatline. Silence... For a moment I think there may be peace, laughter, liability, reliability? There are those who depend on my ability to RISE. I'm up, I'm up, but I want to be down. Still I want to be still. Woosah.
