Wax Museum & Dixie Stampede 2015
When we planned our family trip to Branson, Missouri, the Hollywood Wax Museum was definitely on our must-visit list, and it did not disappoint! It's such a unique and fun experience, especially for families with kids who love movies and pop culture. We spent hours laughing and posing with all the incredibly lifelike figures. Right from the moment we arrived, seeing that giant King Kong figure climbing the 'HOLLYWOOD' sign on the roof, we knew it was going to be an adventure. Inside, it's like stepping onto a movie set. My kids absolutely loved interacting with their favorite characters. Posing with the Star Trek crew was a huge hit, and we got some hilarious shots trying to mimic their serious expressions! Of course, you can't go to a wax museum without seeing the classics, and meeting Marilyn Monroe (or her wax likeness!) in her iconic pink dress was a highlight for me. There were also some really cool patriotic figures, and we even got to pretend to punch one – all in good fun, of course! The Men in Black figures were super realistic too; my little one thought they might actually blink. It truly is a fantastic spot for creating memorable family photos. Beyond the sheer fun of the wax figures, what I really appreciated about the Hollywood Wax Museum in Branson is how interactive it is. They encourage you to get creative with your poses, making it feel less like a stuffy museum and more like an immersive experience. It's a great activity for a rainy day or simply when you want a break from outdoor adventures. Branson itself is such a fantastic destination for families. After our wax museum antics, we explored more of what the city had to offer. We found so many delicious places to eat – like that evening we enjoyed a lively dinner show, where we sat at a big table in a section marked 'C,' cheering and enjoying the entertainment. The kids absolutely loved it, especially getting ice cream or a milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry afterwards! There are so many family-friendly dining options that cater to all tastes. If you're planning a trip to Branson, Missouri, here's a little tip: try to combine your visit to the Hollywood Wax Museum with another nearby attraction to make a full day of fun. Branson is packed with entertainment, from thrilling shows to outdoor activities. We found that planning a few key attractions each day, with some downtime in between, made for a much more relaxed and enjoyable vacation for everyone. Don't forget to grab a souvenir, like a little flag on a stick, to remember your amazing trip! The Hollywood Wax Museum truly is a must-do for any family visiting Branson, offering endless photo opportunities and lasting memories.
