🇺🇸 Battle Broken Power Square! High Court Brakes Trump Tax, But This Game Isn't Over Easy

It became a hot topic around the world on February 20, 2026, when the Supreme Court passed a 6-to-3 resolution ruling that President Donald Trump's imposition of a wall of tariffs on imports "exceeds the scope of his authority."

⚖️ What happened in court?

The court viewed Trump's power under the IEEPA (International Emergency Economic Powers Law) as too broad without Congress to accommodate, specifically, tariffs that soared to 34% against China and 25% against Canada and Mexico, which had a huge economic impact beyond the administration's decision alone.

🔄 Trump solved the game sensitively: "You ordered a cancellation. I ordered a new one!"

But Trump is reputed to have no word to retreat! Just a few hours after the verdict, he came out to court "disgraceful" and immediately signed a new order. By virtue of Section 122 of the Trade Act 1974, it announced a 10% tariff on imports from all countries around the world instead.

My POV on this:

* Markets are getting "used to" volatility: Notice that the stock market rebounded the news receiver because it sees the 10% tax (which has a legal ceiling of 15%) as "lighter" and "clearer than" the original series of brutal taxes that were repealed.

* The legal war is not over: Despite switching to Section 122, this is a temporary measure (150 days). If Trump wants to drag on longer, he must continue to fight Congress, which will prove his political prestige in 2026.

* Thailand needs to keep an eye on: although the 10% figure looks less, the "Global Levy" collection (hit all countries) will inevitably hit the global supply chain and the price of goods in our homes.
