I’m not perfect at this yet… but I’m starting.
These are the soft life rules I’m choosing to live by:
✨ Protect my peace (even when it’s hard)
✨ Move my body daily (even if it’s just 10 minutes)
✨ Eat to fuel my body, not just my emotions
✨ Stop pouring from an empty cup
✨ Slow down and be more intentional
I’m learning that a soft life isn’t about being perfect…
it’s about making better choices, one day at a time 🤍
If you’re starting over too, we’re in this together 🥂

Starting a soft life journey can feel overwhelming, especially when striving for perfection seems out of reach. I've found that the real power lies in consistency and compassion with yourself. For instance, protecting my peace means setting boundaries even when it’s uncomfortable — saying no to extra commitments or social events that drain my energy instead of fill it. It’s a practice that takes courage, but each time I do it, my inner calm grows stronger. Moving my body daily, even if only for 10 minutes, has surprisingly brightened my mood and increased my energy. It doesn’t have to be rigorous exercise; gentle stretching or a brief walk outdoors can be enough to reset my mental state and reconnect with my body. This small habit has helped me feel more intentional throughout the day. Eating to fuel my body rather than my emotions is another vital lesson. I try to notice when I’m eating out of stress or boredom and instead shift toward nourishing foods that energize me. It’s a continuous learning process but choosing whole, unprocessed foods has made a noticeable difference in my overall wellbeing. One of the hardest but most important lessons is stopping the habit of pouring from an empty cup. This means recognizing when I need rest and saying no to others to prioritize self-care. This also ties into slowing down and living more intentionally—taking time to reflect, breathe, and appreciate simple moments rather than rushing through life. The phrase “a soft life isn’t about being perfect” resonates deeply because it reminds me to be gentle with myself. Progress is uneven, and setbacks happen, but each small choice towards peace and health builds up over time. Whether you’re just starting over or continuing your journey, remember you’re not alone—embracing vulnerability and sharing these experiences helps create a supportive community.
