Morning Prayer and Matthew 8:18 - 22
Gooooood Morning All
As I sit here waiting for my coffee to brew. Im thinking about how good I have it. I have a roof over my head, I have a truck, public transportation, food in the refrigerator, shopping close by, friends, family and income coming in.
If I think about what I have instead of what I dont I get reminded that I have it pretty ok and things can be worse!
Have a great day, make good choices and spread some love XoXo G

Each morning offers a fresh opportunity to pause and reconnect with what truly matters. Reflecting on Matthew 8:18-22, I find powerful lessons about commitment and perspective. Jesus' call to follow Him, even when the path seems uncertain or demanding, reminds me that faith involves trusting beyond immediate comforts or concerns. In my own journey, I’ve learned that focusing on gratitude helps to shift my mindset from what’s lacking to the abundance already present in my life. Whether it's having a reliable form of transportation, access to food, or the support of friends and family, recognizing these blessings can bring peace and contentment. Sometimes life places constraints that feel limiting, yet these can be viewed as divine appointments — moments that carry hidden lessons or opportunities for growth. Embracing this perspective has given me strength during challenging times and invited me to act with purpose and intention. By starting the day with prayer or mindful reflection, I set a tone of calm and gratitude. This practice encourages me to make choices that align with kindness and love, spreading positive energy to those around me. The quiet moments before my coffee brews often feel like sacred invitations to appreciate life's simple yet profound gifts. Ultimately, following one’s spiritual calling may require courage—letting go of familiar comforts, facing uncertainty, or prioritizing higher purposes over routine obligations. Yet, these sacrifices often lead to deeper fulfillment and connection. I encourage anyone reading this to embrace daily moments of gratitude, listen deeply to their faith, and step boldly into the love and freedom found in spiritual surrender.
