Mini haul from Jalan Jalan Japan (Masai)

JJJ Masai was one of our stops during our 2D1N trip to JB and I must say the toy collection there was interesting! Went home with some of these quirky baby toys and a vintage pumpkin saucer for RM15 in total. The items sold there were quite unique as well (comparable to the outlet at Tampoi). Only gripe was that the air conditioning unit wasn’t switched on and it made the shopping experience kinda unpleasant unfortunately.

👍Why I like it: cheap affordable hidden gems #jalanjalanjapan #thriftinghaul #thriftwithme

Jalan Jalan Japan - KIP Mall Masai

... Read moreDuring my visit to Jalan Jalan Japan Masai (JJJ Masai), I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of interesting toys and vintage items available at very affordable prices. The store offers a charming mix of quirky baby toys and collectibles that seem hard to find elsewhere, making it a treasure trove for anyone who enjoys thrifting or searching for unique gifts. One thing to note is that the outlet’s air conditioning was not operating during my trip, which made the environment a bit uncomfortable, especially in the Malaysian heat. Despite this, the overall shopping experience was rewarding because of the value and uniqueness of the finds. The items I purchased included a vintage pumpkin saucer and some playful baby toys, all totaling only RM15. This reflects how budget-friendly the store is, especially compared to other outlets like the one in Tampoi. If you’re planning a visit, keep in mind that Jalan Jalan Japan Masai is a popular spot among locals and visitors alike for affordable collectibles. It’s ideal for those who enjoy digging for hidden gems in a casual shopping environment and appreciate the charm of vintage and quirky products. Also, the store is conveniently located near Kip Mall Masai, making it easy to combine your visit with other shopping or dining activities in Johor Bahru. For photos and more insights, searching #jalanjalanjapan or #thriftinghaul on social platforms can offer great glimpses of what to expect. Overall, despite minor inconveniences, JJJ Masai is a worthwhile destination for treasure hunters looking for affordable and interesting toys, unique dining ware, and other collectibles in JB.
