... Read moreBalancing a busy lifestyle can feel overwhelming, especially when last year felt like a nonstop marathon. I’ve been there, pushing through exhaustion without realizing the toll it takes. This year, I decided to actively prioritize mindfulness and self-care instead of rushing through each day. One practice that helped me tremendously is setting clear "ins & outs." This means listing habits and behaviors I want to bring into my life—like dreaming with a plan, celebrating small wins, and socializing meaningfully. At the same time, I consciously steer away from low-energy music, self-doubt, doom scrolling, fast food, and mindless consumption. These “outs” are energy drainers that kept me stuck in a cycle of burnout. Quarterly goal setting also gave me structure without pressure. Instead of vague resolutions, I map achievable milestones and incorporate rest periods. Saying "no" more often has been empowering; it protects my time and focus. Learning to rest intentionally felt foreign at first, but now I recognize it as a crucial ingredient for sustained creativity and energy. This journey isn’t about perfection, but alignment—living with intention and honoring what truly supports my well-being. For anyone feeling worn out by nonstop hustle, I encourage trying this balanced approach. It transformed my relationship with productivity and self-worth. What are your "ins & outs" this year?
