Got caught in a rainstorm, so you know I had to do what I do best. (get cozy!!!) 🧦🍂🌧️🚙📖
I passed the time until the rain slowed ar a park because my astigmatism makes driving in the heavy rain a nightmare lol, but luckily I keep blankets and books in my car for exactly this reason!
Also little fun fact/throwback: If you’ve been following me for years, or if you're new here, one of my first-ever big videos was just like this. he's sitting in a car waiting for the heavy storm to pass with a mug of tea, a cozy blanket and a book!
It feels so nostalgic and serendipitous that i got to do a little remake of it today! 🥹✨

Waiting out a rainstorm in your car might seem like an inconvenience, but for me, it’s become a cherished ritual of comfort and calm. As someone who struggles with astigmatism, driving in heavy rain can be particularly challenging, so I always prepare by keeping cozy essentials like blankets, books, and a mug for tea or coffee in my vehicle. This simple preparation transforms potentially stressful weather into an opportunity to unwind and enjoy a quiet moment. I often find that these moments in my car during rainfall serve as mini-retreats from the fast pace of daily life. The sound of rain tapping on the roof creates a gentle ambiance, perfect for diving into a good book or just reflecting. Bringing a cozy blanket adds a sense of warmth and security that makes the experience even more soothing. It's the small things—like snuggling under soft fabric, the scent of a warm drink, or the turning of paper pages—that turn a mundane wait into a mindful pause. For those new to this cozy approach, I recommend assembling a little rainy day kit for your car: a comfortable blanket, a favorite book, a reusable mug, and perhaps some snacks. When the skies open up, you’re ready to enjoy the moment rather than feel trapped or anxious. Plus, these pauses can spark creativity or provide much-needed mental rest. Looking back, I’m reminded of earlier times when I first shared this idea, and it feels wonderful to recreate that experience again. Nostalgia adds a layer of magic to this cozy routine, showing how simple practices can build a comforting lifestyle. Whether you’re stuck in traffic during a downpour or just seeking a slow moment amid chaos, embracing these cozy, mindful pauses can be surprisingly fulfilling. So next time the rainstorm catches you off guard, think of it as an invitation to slow down, get cozy, and savor a peaceful break right inside your car. It’s a small but powerful way to nurture yourself and find calm in the storm.
