I started this book about 2 months ago, but I noticed I was in a phase where I was trying to read multiple books at one time and yeah, that just doesn’t work lol. So I paused on this book and read a book that was collecting dust on the shelf “Discerning the Voice of God” by Priscilla Shirer - good read btw. I am trying to get back in the habit of reading and this makes book 2! If you have read this what is your take on it? Also, drop your favorite books in the comments!
I can totally relate to the challenge of juggling multiple books at once – it often ends with none getting the attention they deserve! Taking a break and focusing on one book at a time, as shared here, can really help deepen the reading experience and make it more enjoyable. "Discerning the Voice of God" by Priscilla Shirer is a profound resource for those looking to strengthen their spiritual communication. What stood out to me in similar books is how they encourage readers to slow down, reflect, and actually listen carefully, which is not only a good spiritual practice but also beneficial for mental wellness. On another note, it’s interesting how books can gather dust on shelves, only to become treasures when revisited. This experience reminds us to sometimes look back at our unread or unfinished books before rushing for new ones – there might be great wisdom and comfort waiting there. For anyone trying to build a steady reading habit, I found setting small, achievable goals helpful—like dedicating 15 minutes daily purely for reading, whether it's a physical book or an audiobook. It’s less overwhelming and creates a regular rhythm. Also, engaging with a community through hashtags like #whatimreading or #tbrlist can be motivating as you get fresh book recommendations and share your progress. Lastly, while the OCR recognition mentions "Compending QUEENIE CANDICE CARTY-WILLIAMS Worth the Hype," it’s worth considering adding diverse voices to your reading list. Books by contemporary authors like Candice Carty-Williams offer rich, modern perspectives that can expand your reading horizons alongside spiritual or self-help titles.

My all time favorite and have reread several times is “God don’t like ugly “ by Mary Monroe.
