Extreme exterior house transformation!

It's truly incredible to reflect on the journey of transforming an older property's exterior. When we first looked at this brick house, it had so much potential, but also so many challenges. Oftentimes, when people consider an 'old mobile home exterior remodel' or any older home, they face similar hurdles: dated features, worn materials, and a need for improved functionality. One area that often gets overlooked during a major exterior transformation is the 'side of the house.' For this project, we knew the side entrance and yard needed just as much attention as the front or back. We replaced the old, cluttered space with thoughtful design elements, including building new brick stairs that not only provide a welcoming entry point but also seamlessly integrate with the home's existing structure. Thinking about the side of the house involves considering pathways, strategic planting to enhance curb appeal, and even how to discreetly manage utilities or storage, like our newly painted shed which now looks like a deliberate design feature rather than an afterthought. Our overall 'house design' approach for the exterior was centered on creating both beauty and practicality. We started with the dilapidated wooden deck, which was completely rebuilt into a stunning, functional outdoor living space. The new deck, with its sturdy railings and fresh wood, instantly became a focal point. We focused on durable materials and a cohesive color palette that complemented the classic brick house, giving it a modern yet timeless appeal. The goal was to move from a messy, overgrown yard to a lush, well-maintained lawn that invites you to relax and enjoy the outdoor space. I remember the early days of planning, sketching out ideas and sometimes having to convince my team that my ambitious vision for this exterior makeover was achievable. There's a unique satisfaction in seeing a concept blossom into reality, especially when it involves such a dramatic 'before & after.' Every decision, from the choice of exterior paint for the shed to the landscaping around the new deck, was made with the intention of enhancing the home's aesthetic and its long-term value. It’s a testament to how strategic design and a lot of hard work can completely revitalize an old property, turning it into a home we're truly proud of.
