Hey everyone! 👋 You know how much I love diving deep into my hobbies, and Pokémon Go has been a huge one lately, especially with all the exciting Mega Raids! I just had an epic battle against Mega Rayquaza, and let me tell you, getting that 'YOU WIN!' screen is one of the best feelings ever. If you're struggling with these formidable foes or just looking to refine your strategy, I'm here to share some of my personal tips and what I've learned that really makes a difference. First things first, Mega Rayquaza is a Dragon/Flying-type, which means it has some key weaknesses you absolutely need to exploit. Ice-type attacks are your absolute best friend here, delivering 'SUPER EFFECTIVE' damage. My go-to counters often include powerhouses like Mamoswine, Weavile, Avalugg, and Cetitan. Even Mr. Rime and Cryogonal can put in work if powered up! I’ve seen some trainers have great success with Darmanitan (especially its Galarian Zen Mode) and even Beartic, focusing on those strong Ice-type moves like Avalanche and Blizzard. Dragon-type Pokémon like Garchomp, Salamence, Haxorus, Kyurem, Palkia, and Reshiram are also strong contenders because they can deal massive Dragon-type damage. Remember how the game tells you "DRAGON-TYPE ATTACKS ARE NOW BOOSTED!" during certain conditions? That's when these guys shine! However, be careful, as Rayquaza's Dragon-type attacks will also hit your Dragon counters for super effective damage. It's a high-risk, high-reward strategy! Rock-types like Tyranitar are also solid choices, especially if you're looking for a bit more bulk. My battle party usually includes a mix of these. For example, in a recent raid, my Mega Garchomp really "ENTERED THE BATTLE!" and made a huge impact! Having a Mega Evolution of your own is crucial because it boosts damage for all other Pokémon of the same type in your raid party. Make sure you're using powerful charged attacks like 'DRAGON ASCENT' if you have access to them on your own Rayquaza. When you're lining up for a 'LOCAL RAID', grouping up is key! I often see "5 of 14 ready" and it's always better to join a larger group. More trainers mean more damage, making it easier to secure that win and earn those 'TRAINER ACHIEVEMENTS' like 'HARDEST HITTER'. It's not just about winning; it's about making the most of your raid passes and getting good rewards. Beyond just the counters, here are a few more 'pokemon go tips' I swear by: CP and IVs: Always prioritize your highest CP Pokémon with good IVs (Individual Values). A high CP 2832 or CP 3244 Pokémon will perform much better than a lower one. Move Sets: Pay attention to your Pokémon's fast and charged attacks. Make sure they align with the weaknesses of the raid boss. Friendship Bonuses: Raiding with 'linkup' friends gives you extra damage bonuses and more Premier Balls for catching. Catching Strategy: After a successful raid, use Golden Razz Berries and aim for 'Excellent!' throws. It significantly increases your chances of catching the legendary like Rayquaza, especially for those highly sought-after shinies! I was so thrilled when "Rayquaza was caught!" after a tough battle. Daily Play: Keep catching Pokémon every day (like "Catch 88 Pokémon" suggests) to gather Stardust and Candy, which are essential for powering up your raid attackers. Hopefully, these insights help you dominate your next Mega Rayquaza raid in Pokémon Go! It's such a fun challenge, and there's nothing quite like the thrill of teamwork and strategic play. What are your favorite Mega Rayquaza counters or strategies? I'd love to hear them!
I will and I’ll post more GBL too!!
