Located within the historic grounds of Fort Canning, Le Jardin is a floral-themed café that feels like stepping into another world.
•
Walking through its doors, I was immediately reminded of Monet's garden in Giverny. The Victorian-inspired interior is adorned with cascading wisteria, lavender, and vibrant florals overhead, while colourful blooms bring the dining space to life.
•
One of the most unique design features is the glass-topped dining tables, revealing carefully arranged beds of moss, ferns, and colourful blossoms beneath the surface.
•
Classic French touches, from crystal chandeliers and gold mirrors to vintage wooden furnishings and Monet's Water Lilies, complete the elegant European garden setting.
•
We started with their signature drinks:
- Osmanthus Peach Fairy
Honey Osmanthus, Lemonade, Triple Peach Syrup, Soda Water
- Mermaid Tears
Butterfly Pea Tea, Lemon Juice, Sugar Syrup
•
Both drinks were beautifully garnished with dried flower petals and lemon slices, matching the café's floral theme perfectly.
•
The dishes arrived shortly after, and our table was filled in no time.
•
Hot Side Dishes
- Crab Cake
Pan-Seared Crab Cake, Tomato & Chilli Coulis, Tomato Salsa
- Truffle Fries
Straight Cut Fries, Truffle Oil, Grana Padano
•
The Crab Cake was packed with generous chunks of crab meat and plenty of flavour.
•
Mains
- Grain Fed Ribeye
Mixed Salad, Smoky Miso Butter, Beef Jus
- Singapore Chilli Crab Linguine
Crab Meat, Baby Spinach, Tobiko, Frisée, Linguine
The Grain Fed Ribeye was a pleasant surprise. Good thickness, nicely charred, and easily exceeded my expectations for a café.
•
To end the meal, we had the Strawberry Belgian Waffles. Served with Strawberry Ice Cream, Fresh Berries, and Maple Syrup.
•
Although it requires a 15 to 20-minute preparation time, it was worth the wait.
•
The waffles were soft, fragrant, and served in a generous portion, easily enough to share between two or three people.

Definitely one of the most beautiful dining spaces I've visited so far.Le Jardin Cafe | Fort Canning
Visiting Le Jardin Cafe is truly an immersive experience that goes beyond just the food. The intricate botanical theme makes it a perfect spot for nature lovers and those who appreciate art-inspired settings. One of the standout elements is the visual appeal created by the glass-topped tables showcasing natural moss, ferns, and blooms underneath – it adds a fresh and calming vibe that enhances the overall dining atmosphere. From my visit, the Osmanthus Peach Fairy drink was a delightful refresher with a subtle floral sweetness that perfectly complemented the summer heat. The Mermaid Tears, with its vibrant blue butterfly pea tea and zesty lemon juice, was not only refreshing but made for a gorgeous Insta-worthy photo. Both drinks thoughtfully use edible flower petals and citrus garnishes, tying back to the café's attention to detail and botanical focus. The food left a very positive impression as well. The crab cake was generously packed with crab meat and paired with a nicely balanced tomato and chili coulis, providing a subtle spicy kick. The truffle fries were crispy with a luxurious aroma brought out by the Grana Padano cheese and truffle oil. For mains, the grain-fed ribeye stood out not just for its portion and thickness but for the smoky miso butter that gave an unexpected yet sophisticated twist to the meat. The Singapore chilli crab linguine offered a nice fusion of local flavors with Italian pasta, featuring fresh crab meat and tobiko to add texture contrast. Ending with the strawberry Belgian waffles, the wait time of 15 to 20 minutes was well justified. They were delightfully soft, generously sized, and paired beautifully with strawberry ice cream and fresh berries drizzled with maple syrup. It’s an excellent choice for sharing with friends or family. Overall, Le Jardin Cafe is a must-visit for anyone exploring Fort Canning who seeks a unique café experience combining elegant floral aesthetics with quality gourmet food and drinks. It’s ideal for peaceful brunches, casual meetups, and special treats in a garden-inspired setting that transports you away from the city hustle.
