One of the most effective approaches I found involves staying well-hydrated to flush out bacteria and incorporating natural remedies such as D-mannose supplements, which many find helpful in preventing E. coli, the primary culprit behind UTIs. Additionally, practicing good feminine hygiene by wiping front to back and avoiding harsh soaps can protect the delicate balance of bacteria. Wearing breathable cotton underwear and changing out of wet clothes promptly further supports bladder health. For moments when symptoms strike, over-the-counter remedies like urinary pain relief tablets provide temporary comfort. It's also important to note that you can support your bladder health by avoiding irritants such as caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods which may exacerbate symptoms.
