But the key is 'through Christ who strengthens me.' This verse, written by Paul while he was in prison, wasn't about his own superhuman ability. It was about contentment and strength found only in Christ, whether he had much or little, whether he was facing abundance or adversity. This verse reminds me that God truly shall supply all our needs, not just spiritually, but practically too. It gives me so much comfort knowing that even when I feel like I'm running on empty, He's got me. So, how do I actually live this out? When the trials come, and believe me, they do, I make a conscious effort to praise God, even when it's hard. I spend time in His Word, meditating on verses like these. When the enemy whispers doubts, trying to trick me into giving up, I literally remind him (and myself!) of Philippians 4:13. It's about actively engaging your faith.
