Father God 🙏🏽 may Your will be done NOT mine

There are moments in life when the weight of the world feels incredibly heavy, leaving us feeling profoundly sad and alone. In these quiet, vulnerable times, many of us turn to prayer, pouring out our hearts, sometimes with tears streaming down our faces. It's a deeply human, and profoundly spiritual, experience to engage in crying prayer, letting our worship tears in prayer express what words cannot. I’ve certainly had my share of those moments, where I was just trying to get my prayer answered before God said it's His perfect timing. It’s a struggle so many of us can relate to. We lay our desires, our fears, and our hopes at the feet of God, expecting a swift response, a clear path, or an immediate resolution to our pain. But often, the answer isn't what we expect, or it simply doesn't come when we want it to. This period of waiting can be agonizing, making us feel even more isolated and frustrated. Learning to truly say, "Father God, may Your will be done, NOT mine," is a journey of faith that requires immense trust. It means surrendering our tightly held plans and timelines, and believing that God's perspective is far greater than our own. It’s about understanding that His perfect timing isn't always our timing, but it is always for our ultimate good. This doesn't mean we stop praying or expressing our sadness; quite the opposite. It means we continue to pray, to cry out, to confess our feelings of loneliness and despair, but we hold those prayers with open hands, allowing God to move in ways we might not anticipate. During these periods of waiting and uncertainty, I've found immense comfort in simply being present with God, even in my sorrow. It's in those moments of worship tears that a deeper connection forms, recognizing that He sees my pain, hears my cries, and is intimately acquainted with my struggles. Trusting His perfect timing doesn't mean suppressing our emotions; it means bringing them all to Him, knowing that He can handle our grief, our disappointment, and our impatience. It’s a process of letting go and letting God truly lead, even when the path is unclear or feels longer than we'd hoped. Finding peace amidst the wait is a testament to faith, reminding us that even when we feel sad and alone, we are always held in His loving, perfect plan.
