MONSTER FEETLOAF! 🎃👻 Who’s brave enough for a slice?🍴🧟‍♂️

Ingredients:

1.5 cup dried Italian bread crumbs

1 1/4 cup cup milk

4 pounds ground beef

2 egg

1 onion, finely diced, sautéed

1 tbsp Worcestershire

4 tsp salt

2 tsp pepper

2 large leaks

10 roasted cashews

Glaze:

1.5 cup ketchup

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp staple vinegar

1/2 tsp garlic salt

Start by combining Italian bread breadcrumbs with milk. Finally dice and sauté onion.

Two large bowl add ground beef, breadcrumbs and milk mixture, sautéed onion, eggs, Worcestershire, and salt and pepper. Mix until fully combined.

To a parchment line sheet pan add in two lower halves of the leaks as the bones.

Divide your meatloaf mixture in half and form around the leaks. Use a knife to separate the toes and shape into a foot.

Once you’re happy with the shape, push in roasted cashews as the claws

Spray the leaks with oil then cover with aluminum foil.

Bale in a 350°F oven for 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, make your glaze, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar and garlic salt. Mix and set aside.

Remove feetloaf from oven, spread on your glaze, including in between and around the toes and over the leaks.

Place the aluminum foil back on and return to the oven for 25 for more minutes or until the internal reaches 165

Allow to rest then transfer to your presentation platter. Pipe leftover glaze or ketchup around the bones to give a more realistic bloody effect.

Enjoy! 👻

... Read moreCreating a themed dish like the Monster FeetLoaf not only makes your Halloween celebration unique but also adds an interactive element for guests. The use of leeks as the 'bones' is a clever choice—they offer a sturdy base to sculpt the foot shape and can withstand baking temperatures while contributing a subtle flavor. Using roasted cashews as claws adds an interesting texture and visual appeal, giving the dish a playful yet spooky finish. When preparing the glaze, combining ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and garlic salt strikes a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors. This glaze caramelizes nicely on the meatloaf and seeps into the crevices between the toes and over the leeks, enhancing both taste and visual effect. For a more dramatic presentation, you can add extra glaze or ketchup around the 'bones' to simulate a bloody look, which complements the Halloween theme well. Ensure your meat mixture is thoroughly combined to maintain consistency so the meatloaf holds its shape as you form the foot and separate toes. Baking covered with aluminum foil for part of the cooking time helps retain moisture, resulting in a juicy loaf. Checking the internal temperature reaches 165°F guarantees safe consumption. Feel free to customize the seasoning according to your taste or dietary preferences by adding herbs like thyme or smoked paprika. This recipe is perfect for family gatherings, encouraging all ages to join the fun in preparing and enjoying a spooky yet delicious meal. Don't forget to share your variations and photos with friends to inspire more creative Halloween recipes!
