Rebuilding My Kitchen Fundamentals one by one
Before I get back to full ChefMade cooking videos, I’m focusing on the fundamentals that make cooking possible.
Range of motion to move comfortably in the kitchen.
Knife skills to cook safely and with confidence.
Stirring, lifting, and learning my limits as I build strength back up.
Every chop. Every stir. Every small movement is part of the journey.
I’ll be sharing a mix of videos created before surgery, along with new videos full of flavor as I continue recovering and building strength.
Still cooking. Still creating. Just recovering.

Recovering from surgery while maintaining a passion for cooking requires patience and determination. I've found that focusing on the basics—like improving my range of motion and sharpening my knife skills—has been fundamental to rebuilding my confidence in the kitchen. Every small movement, from stirring to lifting, needs to be done carefully as I respect my body's limits during recovery. One of the key lessons I've learned is the importance of adapting my cooking methods during this time. Using ergonomic tools, taking more breaks, and practicing mindfulness in my movements have helped me avoid strain while still enjoying the creative process. I also discovered that sharing both old and new recipe videos not only motivates me but also connects me with a community eager to learn and grow alongside me. Additionally, rebuilding strength in the kitchen has opened my eyes to how critical kitchen ergonomics are. Setting up the workspace to optimize comfort and safety is just as important as mastering cooking techniques. I encourage anyone facing similar challenges to embrace these fundamentals, listen to their body, and celebrate every progress milestone, no matter how small. Recovery is a journey, and cooking remains a joyful part of it.

Great skills and tools.
