It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed when we think about overcoming negative patterns or habits in our lives. The original post beautifully reminds us that we all struggle with vices, and recognizing them is the first huge step on our journey towards mental and spiritual well-being. When I first started diving into what the Bible calls 'vices,' I realized it wasn't just about big, obvious sins, but often subtle attitudes and actions that can really weigh on our hearts and minds. From the lists I've studied, often starting with 'Chapter 3 THE DEVIL'S VICES,' it's clear these aren't just abstract concepts. They are real struggles that manifest in our daily lives. Think about 'pride' – that feeling of always needing to be right, or better than others. It can subtly damage relationships and create a wall between us and true humility. Or 'anger,' which can flare up, leaving a trail of hurt feelings and regret, and definitely not contributing to a peaceful 'soft girl era.' 'Jealousy' makes us compare ourselves to others, stealing our joy, while 'unforgiveness' keeps us chained to past hurts, blocking our own healing. Then there are the 'misuse of the tongue,' like gossip or harsh words, which can be so damaging. The Bible points out how our words have immense power, for good or for evil. Even 'lack of faith' or 'religious activities without God' can be vices, leading to a superficial spiritual life that doesn't provide real peace or connection. It's about having a genuine, personal relationship, not just going through the motions. And let's not forget 'exalting men over God' – putting human opinions or achievements above divine guidance can lead us astray. Recognizing these isn't about shaming ourselves, but about identifying areas where we can invite God's transformation. For me, truly looking at these 'devil's vices' helped me understand that overcoming them isn't about perfection, but about daily surrender and seeking forgiveness. When I focused on letting go of 'unforgiveness' through prayer, I felt a burden lift that I didn't even realize I was carrying. It's a continuous process of repentance and asking for forgiveness, knowing that 'God Forgives 🥺' and remembers 'God loves us ALL.' This journey helps us live 'beautiful Inside and Out,' fostering genuine mental health and allowing us to truly step into that 'soft girl era' of peace, grace, and inner strength, knowing we're not alone in our struggles.
