Orange Cream Cola Review

I am all about different flavor soda, and this one was no exception.

I found this at Kroger, and was THRILLED! I had the option to get regular or zero... and of course my go-to is zero sugar.

The overall taste was good. It wasn't over the top good, but I could definitely taste notes of vanilla cream and very slight hint of orange. To get the full flavor, I just might get a regular to try as well.

⭐️Overall rating: 7.3/10

... Read moreAs a huge fan of trying out new soda flavors, especially anything with a twist, I was super excited to get my hands on the Coca-Cola Orange Cream Zero Sugar. Finding it at Kroger was a win, and naturally, Igravitated towards the zero sugar option – a personal preference to cut down on extra sweetness without sacrificing flavor, if possible. My initial sip of this orange vanilla flavored soda was quite intriguing. I definitely picked up those smooth vanilla cream notes right away, which were really pleasant. The orange, however, was much more subtle than I expected, almost like a whisper in the background rather than a bold citrus burst. It's not a bad thing, just different from what I might have anticipated from an "orange cream" soda. It leans more towards a creamy vanilla with an orange essence, rather than a strong orange soda with a creamy finish. The Zero Sugar aspect holds up well here; there's no noticeable artificial aftertaste that sometimes accompanies diet drinks, which is a big plus in my book. Now, thinking about the 20 FL OZ (591ml) bottle, it’s a good size for a single serving, perfect for on-the-go or enjoying with a meal. For those who love vanilla-forward drinks and appreciate a gentle hint of fruit, this could be a real winner. If you're someone who prefers a more intense orange flavor, you might feel it's a bit too subdued. I've had other orange sodas before, like a classic Fanta Orange, which is much more in-your-face with its citrus, or even other Coca-Cola variations like the Cherry Coke Zero, which has a distinct, strong flavor. This Orange Cream Zero Sugar is a more delicate, nuanced experience, making it a good choice for someone looking for something a bit milder and more dessert-like. I’d recommend chilling it really well before drinking; that seems to bring out the creamy notes even more. I could even see myself enjoying this poured over a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a healthier take on a cream soda float! It’s definitely a unique addition to Coca-Cola's flavor lineup, standing out from their traditional offerings. While it wasn't an 'OMG, this is my new favorite!' kind of drink, it was certainly enjoyable and a solid choice for when you're craving something a little different. It's always fun to see major brands like Coca-Cola experimenting with NEW flavors, especially catering to the zero sugar market. If you spot this "NEW" orange cream blend, give it a try and see if its vanilla and subtle orange notes resonate with your taste buds!
