August Reads

In August

I finished:

A Talent for Murder (physical book)⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Housemaid Is Watching (Kindle) ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ward D (Kindle) ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fire & Blood (Audio) ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I started reading:

The Things We Leave Unfinished (Physical Book & Kindle)

The Viscount Who Loved Me (Audio)

None of the books I finished this month were super great, but none were terrible either. I was kinda disappointed by The Housemaid Is Watching, since the previous books were better.

I should have probably rated Talent for Murder higher. It had me in suspense often. It was a BOTM.

... Read moreAugust is a great month for cozy reading as the temperatures start to cool down. This month, I delved into a mix of genres, including mystery and historical fiction. While 'A Talent for Murder' stood out for its suspenseful narrative, 'The Housemaid Is Watching' left me wanting more. This disparity in quality can be frustrating for readers who expect a thrilling plot throughout. If you're seeking book recommendations, be sure to explore popular genres like psychological thrillers, which are currently trending on platforms like BookTok. It's an excellent way to discover hidden gems and discuss your favorites with fellow book lovers. Engaging in discussions about books can enhance your reading experience, allowing you to understand different perspectives. Being part of a vibrant reading community, such as those found in online forums, can help you stay updated on new releases and author events that you wouldn't want to miss. Taking part in these discussions also benefits authors, giving them valuable feedback and insights from their readers. Overall, reading is a personal journey, and no two readers will have the same experience with a book.
